Assistant Receptionist/Administrator
We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Assistant Receptionist/Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities and experience in call handling and office administration. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with reception duties and provide administrative support to the legal team at any of the firm’s offices in Hartlepool, Peterlee, Wingate and Durham.
Role and Responsibilities
Duties to include the following, which are not exclusive:-
Reception duties:
- Telephone call handling
- Make appointments
- Greet clients and visitors
- Deal with incoming and outgoing post.
- Maintain a clean and organised reception area ensuring a positive first impression for clients
Administrative support:
- Take cash, cheques and electronic card payments.
- File maintenance including opening and closing files on a case management system.
- Assist with daily banking and data input onto clients’ ledgers and company databases.
- Filing
- Archive management including storage and retrieval of legal documents.
Person requirements
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English grades 9 – 4 (A – C)
- Driving license and own transport essential as will be required to provide support at any of the firm’s offices in Hartlepool, Peterlee, Wingate and Durham.
- Knowledge and use of IT systems including MS Excel and Word essential.
- Good verbal and written communication skills together with an organised and methodical approach to working with excellent attention to detail.
- A professional, courteous demeanour with a cheerful attitude, particularly when meeting clients.
- A committed and self-motivated individual who can work as part of a professional, friendly team and provide a professional, efficient, customer focused, quality service at all times.
Duration: Permanent
Salary: National Living Wage
Working hours: Full Time – 36.25 hours per week
Location: Hartlepool, Peterlee, Wingate and Durham
