If you are experiencing problems with a family member, TMJ Legal Services can help.
In cases where you wish to try to avoid court proceedings in the first instance, we can send a solicitor’s letter to the person regarding their behaviour and warn them of the potential consequences if their behaviour does not stop.
In more serious cases our family lawyers offer a supportive and sympathetic service to provide maximum support and protection to sufferers. We can offer emergency appointments at most times throughout the day and can usually gain injunction orders the same day or next day following receipt of all of the necessary information.
Types of Injunction Order
- Non-molestation order: These orders prevent a person from using or threatening violence against you; intimidating, harassing or pestering you; attending at your home; contacting you via telephone, text message, email, etc
- Occupation orders: These orders can be used to remove someone from your home, and to help you stay in the home while things are sorted out
Legal Aid
In most domestic abuse cases, Legal Aid is available, but if you do not qualify for Legal Aid, we can offer you an initial fixed-fee appointment for £75 plus VAT, where we can give you some initial advice and a cost estimate if you do wish to proceed with instructing us.
To get in touch with us regarding any of the areas, please contact our Family Department.
