Private Client Trainee Solicitor

An exciting opportunity for a trainee solicitor to join our expanding Private Client department working alongside an experienced and friendly team of solicitors. The successful candidate will be given the option to work at either of our offices in Hartlepool or Peterlee.

The ideal candidate should have a passion for Private Client work with a good level of knowledge and/or experience in this area.

The candidate must be a proactive and hard-working individual who will become involved in a range of duties including preparation of Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Probate, Court of Protection work and Trusts. They will also gain experience in conveyancing work.

Person Requirements:

• A law degree with prior completion of the Legal Practice Course or SQE route (contribution towards SQE exams negotiable).

• Previous experience in all aspects of Private Client work would be advantageous.

• Experience of conveyancing work preferable but not essential.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills together with an organised and methodical approach to working with excellent attention to detail.

• Practical knowledge and use of IT systems including Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

• Knowledge and experience of using a legal case management system.

• A polite, practical attitude, particularly when meeting clients.

• A committed and self-motivated individual who can work as part of a team.

Salary: To be agreed depending on experience

Location: Hartlepool or Peterlee

Working Hours: Full-time
