Personal Injury Solicitor 

An exciting opportunity for a Personal Injury Solicitor to join a respected and long established firm of solicitors, offering an excellent opportunity to develop their career within a supportive and successful team. The successful candidate will have the option to work at either the firm’s Hartlepool or Peterlee office.

Key Responsibilities

This role is ideal for a candidate with at least 2 years' PQE who is confident handling a high-volume caseload of portal and non-portal Employer Liability, Public Liability and Road traffic accident claims from start to finish, including litigated matters within fast-track and intermediate track.

The successful candidate will be responsible for running their own files with appropriate support, drafting correspondence and legal documents, advising clients clearly and effectively and meeting fee-earning and time recording targets. The role also offers the opportunity to contribute to business development and strengthen relationships with clients and referrers.

Person Requirements:

• Personal Injury Solicitor with at least 2 year’s PQE.
• A strong working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules, relevant pre-action protocols and the Damages Claims Portal.
• Ability to run own caseload from start to finish with sound knowledge and a proven track record of providing legal advice and assistance.
• Experience of using a case management system together with practical knowledge and use of IT systems including MS Word and Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills together with an organised and methodical approach to working and excellent attention to detail.
• A professional, polite and client-focused approach, particularly when meeting and interacting with clients.
• A committed and self-motivated individual who can work as part of a professional team.

Duration: Permanent

Salary: To be agreed depending on experience

Location: Hartlepool or Peterlee

Working Hours: Full-time or Part-time
