Criminal Injury Compensation
If you are reading this no doubt you have been the innocent victim of a criminal offence.
The government provides a criminal injury compensation scheme and will
compensate a victim of crime. At present the injury must warrant
damages of not less than £1,000.
It is important that the incident is reported to the police immediately
as failure to do so can prejudice a claim. Again, like other personal
injury claims, time limits within which the claim must be pursued
apply.
